Arlene Lang

Arlene "Leenie" Lang passed suddenly on March1st, 2012. She was born September 14, 1945 in Renville, MN to Fred and Loretta (Schafer) Schack on a farm south of Renville, MN. When she was in second grade, she and the family moved to a farm north of Danube, MN. After graduating from Danube HS in 1963, she moved to the Twin Cities to join Gene. Arlene married Eugene Lang on July 3rd, 1965 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Renville, MN. Their only child Brenda Marie was born on January 11, 1966. Arlene enjoyed spending her free time taking care of her yard, vegetable garden and flowers. She loved to camp, fish, sew, dancing, country music, working on her automobiles and spending time with special friends. The highlight of her year was her annual vacations to Texas to visit Brenda and grandchildren Brandon and Ashley.

Arlene is survived by daughter Brenda Lang Carlson (fiancé Danny Strickhausen) of Dallas, TX, grandchildren Brandon and Ashley Carlson, sisters Barb (and Jerome) Hlavka of Richfield, MN, Marlys (and Don) Enger of Prior Lake, MN and nieces and nephews, Doug Hlavka, Melissa Enger, Dave Hlavka, Dan Enger, Nancy Enger and Dale Hlavka. Preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Jerome Hlavka Jr.

Memorial Mass 11am Sat., March 10 at Church of the Epiphany, 1900 111th Ave. NW, Coon Rapids, MN.
