Carlton (Sonny) F. Anderson, loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle passed away peacefully on December 3, 2018, at age 80. Carlton married the love of his life, Kathleen Casey Anderson on November 11, 1961. Together they raised four children, David (Julie), Karlene Evenstad, Kristie (Keith) Teasley, and Kelly (Jessica Shendel). Known for his spot-on Donald Duck impersonations, quick wit, punny sense of humor, and stint as the “Roller King,” Carlton easily put a smile on the faces of those around him.
Carlton proudly served in the US Navy as a submarine radio man from 1956-1960 aboard the USS Lenaway. He was a 1956 graduate of Vocational High School in Minneapolis, a graduate of Dale Carnegie, a Toastmaster and a member of the Anoka Masonic Lodge #30, Scottish Rite, Zuhrah Shrine, the Anoka Area Shrine Club, and a life member of the VFW Post 9625 Coon Rapids.
In addition to his wife and children, Carlton is survived by his Grandchildren, Sam Evenstad, Dallas Evenstad, Alyssa Evenstad (Josh Nordstrom), Rihana Pratschner (Cody), Rileigh Anderson, Gabrielle Teasley; Great grandchildren, Lauren Evenstad and Spenser Rae Pratschner; Sister, Gerri (Dick) Anderson Bergman; Sister-in-law, Barb Anderson, and a host of Nieces, Nephews and Great-nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his Parents, Carlton S. and Lela Anderson (Mathews); Brother, Dick Anderson; Sister, Judy (Stringer); Brother-in-law, Bill Stringer; and Son-in-law, Phil Evenstad.
