Catherine "Cathy" Ann Shane

Born February 9, 1953, in Saint Paul, Minnesota. After graduating from Spring Lake Park high school in 1971, Cathy met the love of her life Randy Shane. Cathy and Randy got married on September 24th, 1983, and enjoyed 42 years of wedded bliss. Cathy worked for Wells Fargo for 34 years and made many friends who remained connected throughout her life.

The Shane family took root in the city of Blaine Minnesota where they would raise their two children Ryan and Katrina, who both graduated from Blaine High School.

Cathy loved to play games such as 31, LRC, Skip-Bo, and Cribbage. She loved her grandkids fiercely, teaching them about always maintaining a positive attitude throughout life’s challenges.

She was preceded in death by parents, Alvin and Helen Schlichting.

Cathy is dearly missed by her husband, Randy Shane; children, Katrina (Rick) Leistico, Ryan (Ramona) Shane; siblings, Alyce Blashill, Bruce Schlichting, and Joe Schlichting; grandchildren, Connor, Kayla, Lacey, and Maya; her dog, Maddie; and many other family members and friends.

A service of remembrance will be held at Faith Lutheran Church: 11115 Hanson Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN on 4/10/26 with visitation at 10am and service to follow at 11am. Lunch will be served at Faith Lutheran Church to follow.

Cathy will be laid to rest at Morningside Memorial Gardens in Coon Rapids, MN during a private family ceremony.
