I worked with Charlie off and on for many years. He was always pleasant and willing to help. He was able to take pretty much anything in stride. Lots of good memories of our interactions. 

Charlie was the nicest guy always it seemed in good spirits . Never a bad word from him , he will be missed by all that knew him .  May he rest in peace  one of the good ones !

When I think of Chuck many things come to mind, fun adventure kindness humility grace mercy and faithfulness. I am blessed to call him my best friend. Chuck and I had more fun,caught more fish more adventures in each of our 40 + years of friendship than most people have in a lifetime. Although we faced many challenges, like snowstorms that would have stranded most, incredible fog, and  a lake opening up with a 4 ft. gap in the ice between us and the landing we faced it head on and with humor and determination.Chuck had some of the best one liners ever. He was truly one of a kind. His attitude was “what ever it takes”. Throughout our friendship many thought we were brothers because we were always on the same page. One good story: it was -10 on the lake and a man and his son were using our fish house to break the wind, when Chuck realized they had no house to fish in, he invited them in and they became good friends that fished with us for years. These are just a few examples of the man who was  always kind and patient..my best friend Chuck.

I remember Charlie from FMC. Great guy and I am sure he will be missed. Thoughts are with you.

I have so many memories of this wonderful man, starting when I was so much younger and eager to learn about camping and fishing. He taught me both, but it was the way he taught me that mattered ,with so much patience, care and understanding. We always seemed to camp in the rain but he weathered that just as he did everything else, adding lights so we could play cards , holding an umbrella if need be so Tom could cook and never ever complaining. He was a quiet man, but I always remember the twinkle in his eyes, the crooked smile and knowing that he cared. It all meant so very much to me and what I think I will miss the most. I used to joke that if ever you needed something, anything, he would have it and never just one but two. He would go into his garage or home and out he would come with just what I needed and he would share it willingly never asking anything in return. He was so strong and it always amazed me what he could lift but it wasn’t just brawn, he was strong in spirit too. Oh I could tell you so many stories about this man and his wonderful humor, my entire family use his phrases to this day and they will never be forgotten cause now we have passed them to our grandchildren. I am really going to miss him and all the memories I have of him but it’s those memories that will make me smile when ever I hear his name.
