As of yesterday 12/13/24 it has been five years since his passing, and each time that date passes I can’t help but remember that a fellow student that I didn’t know personally, but was in the same grade and school as life was unexpectedly and tragically taken… a lot has happened in five years. Our class has graduated, and we are off to move into a direction of life that sadly CJ cant follow. Regardless, he spent his time here and had many friends and family that cared about him so deeply and unconditionally. Around the time of this incident, I had the gift of meeting his family and his parents through my good friend that was there at the final moments of his life. Chase and Kelli Are some of the most hospitable and kind people I’ve met. My friend who I was with at the time of one evening was invited over and was asked to stay and chat. Chase and Kelli cooked food for everyone and graciously provided that to my friend and I.  Without me personally knowing him, meeting his family, gave me such a sense of condolence and sentimentality to his untimely death. Last night, as I was passing the tracks after getting food, I remembered what day it was, and without a second thought, I turned my car around and parked it near his memorial and ran up and stood for a good while in the cold. Remembering that time in my life and how much impact he had throughout the school and community. I sat there speaking with him about all that has happened and that I didn’t forget about him. I wished him well wherever he was, then I said a prayer and with a few still moments I said goodbye and drove away. My fullest thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to his family and friends. A beloved Son, Grandson, Brother and Friend will not be forgotten but only remembered by many. Rest Well CJ We love you.

it’s been officially two years since you passed. we barely knew each other, you were just the guy who sat in front of me in french class who was always tired in the morning. although you always gave me attitude whenever i tried to get you to participate, i always knew it was in a joking manner. that friday you passed away, you sat in my chair in global studies and i didn’t have the balls to tell you to move. i think about it a lot. we were never close but i still wish you were here. you were a good guy, cj. i knew you were going to do great things in your life.  i miss you.

Chason was always a good friend everyone new him and if u didn't know him he didn't care as long as he had friends that cared and would do anything for him and now that he's gone he's remembered in everyone's ❤️

He always walked around with a smile on his face, it didn’t matter which way you turn you just see a smile on his face and now for us not to see that anymore it’s a very sad thing. Now his smile can be seen in a new place and I hope to lighten up their day. REST IN HEAVEN CHASON💙

CJ , I’m honored to have met such an Handsome & Talented young man and also an Amazing son & brother! I remember when I met you I asked you to be my Husband when you turn 18 & you said no lol! Your Mom and Dad did an Amazing job with raising you and your sister and brother it’s not fair too see you go so soon! I know that you are up in Heaven watching over them! Let them Forever feel your Spirit and Love and remember that Million Dollar Smile! Rest in Paradise CJ 


I could never imagine what his family is going through right now. But, I know on the first day I walked into my core class and saw him and he was so cute and seemed so sweet we ended up sitting by each other for a good 2 months we made fun of each other and I also, helped him with his homework. His laugh was something someone would love to hear. It was a laugh that made you laugh.. he always posted about his siblings he seemed like a great brother, friend, and son. I am so very sorry for your loss I hope you know you made such a great son.. he was the light of everyone’s days - Caitlyn

Memories... We have so many of them. I remember when you, Myia and Myka were playing with squirt guns on the hottest day of summer and you grabbed some empty totes and fill them with water for you and Myka to sit in(cause you both wanted to go swimming and neither of us had a pool). I remember taking you with us fishing and out fishing me and not wanting to leave the lake when Myka and Myia got bored(cause you were catching all the fish). I Remember going to VV to the wax day and you were a football player and I kept hitting the stop button and joking by saying I know who you are you are a soccer player and you would just laugh or saying baseball... all sports but football, just to hear you laugh. I remember you and Myka playing xbox and laughing at my puns. I remember you standing up for my kids and vice versa. CJ and fam... we have nothing but great memories and I wish you still were my neighbors. Love ya all!

Nephew, you mark the beginning of a long road that shifted young boys that just knew we were grown - into grown young men that became father's with a clearer understanding of what was important in life, eventually men. I don't have an answer for this year, I'm all out of questions, I just know we have to make it and do so in a manner that honors your light and the light of this before you. Ya lil cousin probably got you in touch with pops, keep an eye on her for me. Love you young King, no words can express the pain and sadness in our hearts, but we will hold each other down, go through this to get to this.

 parents wedding, and thinking   you were perfect!! From head to toe, and I wished that I had a son like you. I know you will be greatly missed. Rest Easy Young Angel.
