Dale was born on a military base in Indiana and traveled all over the United States with his family as an Army Brat. During his teenage years they settled in Cape Coral, Florida, which became Dale’s home. There he made many friends, became the horn instructor for the Brassmen Drum and Bugle Corps, met the mother of his children, and studied under a master shoe craftsman which became the foundation of his career.
He will be greatly missed by his mother, Clara Marcelle Winzenread Kirkpatrick; his children, Nicole (Jeff) Coulter, Sara (Kevin) Tarnowski, Eric (Cristina) Winzenread, and their mother, Lisa Nicol; his siblings, Stephen (Cheryl) Winzenread, Mark (Kim) Winzenread, and sister-in-law Gail Murphy; and his nieces, nephews and dear friends. Dale was preceded in death by his father, William Winzenread and his brothers, Ronald and Dean Winzenread.
Dale’s family was his greatest joy. He was a devoted father to Nicole, Sara, and Eric, and his love and guidance became a cherished part of their lives. He was a source of strength and unwavering support, always encouraging his children to pursue their dreams and lead meaningful lives. Dale was known for his sense of humor, his entrepreneurial talents, and his generous spirit. He loved music, space exploration, and his dog, Baxter. He could fix just about anything and was passionate about teaching and instructing others.
Dale worked at Schuler Shoes for over 40 years and loved his job and the people he worked with. He was a board-certified pedorthist, a member of the Pedorthic Footcare Association, and in his later years received emeritus status with the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics. He was also the founder of FootHealth Pedorthics and enjoyed developing the company website with his kids.
