Daryl was a veteran who proudly served in the U.S. Navy and traveled the world as a boiler tech aboard USS Ranger (CV-61). After leaving the Navy he worked as a machine operator and later as a CNC machinist. Daryl was a lifelong Vikings fan who loved hard rock and heavy metal, muscle cars, and railroads like the Ma & Pa, PRR, and B&O. He also loved collecting glass insulators and was a member of the North Western Insulator Club.
Daryl will be sorely missed; he was an awesome dad and a very proud grandfather. We will think of him every time we see an insulator, aircraft carrier, '69 Camaro, or hear a Manowar, Whitesnake, or Alter Bridge song.
Daryl is survived by his son, Brad (Brittany) Lawrence; sister, Darletta; and other family members. He was preceded in death by parents, Norman and Jean; sister, Dawn, and brother, Dean.
