She was born to Harvey and Henrietta Anderson on January 18, 1949 in Fergus Falls, MN. Growing up in Barrett, MN with brothers and sisters Jerry, Larry, Tyrone, Vicki, Lori, Robin and Shari. She married Roger Rosby in 1968 and enjoyed finding him things to do for 52 years. Shane was born in 1975 and he became their focus. Having worked at Jostens after college at U of MN-Morris,
Diane wanted to be at home with her son but wanted to work. She became a licensed day care provider. For over 25 years many children were raised in the home 5-6 days a week with love, education, honor and respect being shown and carried on to the world as the fruits of her labor. Mom retired from daycare and went to work for Eniva. She so enjoyed her job, the company and the friends she made there. Her three grandchildren were her most cherished loves. Tristen, Chase and Sierra were always in the front of her mind and held her heart. Her best days were shared with them and Roger.
She always enjoyed spending time with her family in the Barrett area. Diane and Roger also enjoyed spending time with friends at Pathfinder Village. Many became like family after 40 years of raising kids, 4 wheeling, playing cards and many campfires and suppers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Henrietta; brother, Tyrone; sister-in- law, Barb; nephews, Jared, Keith, Corey; and very special friend Elia.
She is survived by her husband Roger of 52 years; son, Shane(Mandy);
grandkids, Tristen, Chase and Sierra; and many brothers, sisters and family.
A private by invitation service will be held 0n 1/18/21 @ 5:00 P.M. @ Gearhart Funeral Home (11275 Foley BLVD NW, Coon Rapids, MN)
A public Celebration of Life will be held in Zimmerman, MN and Committal service at Lincoln Lutheran Church of Barrett, MN later this summer.
