Preceded in death by parents, John and Caroline; brothers, Frank, Merlin and Wilbur; and sister, Joanne. Survived by loving wife of 69 years, Melva; children, Lon (Colleen), Laura, Rev. Lee and Brian (Cheryl); 8 grandchildren; 2 great- grandchildren; brothers, Harold (June) and Duane (Jo); sister, Gertrude (Lyle); special niece, Bonnie Greene; and good friend, Lucille Sicheneder.
Funeral service 11:00 AM Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 4101 Washington St. NE, Columbia Heights. Visitation at the church Thursday from 6-8 PM and also 1 hour prior to service. Memorials preferred to the church.
