Helen L. Anderson

Helen was born November 27, 1920 to Ralph and Emma Bullick at Roseau County, MN. The family later moved to Boyd, MN. LeRoy and Helen were married on December 10, 1940 and farmed at Hendricks and Canby, MN.They left the farm in 1972 to make their home in Blaine, MN where LeRoy passed away in February 1993.

Helen, Carol and Tiffany lived in Coon Rapids, MN from January 1997 until September 2015. After being hospitalized, she chose to move to the Ebenezer Ridges Care Center in Burnsville to spend her last days near Elroy and Charlene and to be closer to many of her grandchildren. She quietly took her last breath Sunday morning October 11, 2015. Helen loved her family; her influence and memory will live on.

Survivors include five children; Carol Anderson of Coon Rapids, Elroy (Charlene) Anderson of Burnsville, Dinah Begay-Anderson of Granite Falls, Phyllis (Bryan) Shadle of Cumming, GA, Tiffany Anderson of Coon Rapids; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; brother Raymond Bullick; sisters-in-law Vivian Bullick and Ruth Bullick.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband LeRoy, daughter Jane and husband Ron Larson, parents Ralph and Emma Bullick, sister Florence Bullick , brothers Albert and wife Eleanor Bullick, Stanley and wife Doris Bullick, Marvin Bullick, Ellsworth Bullick and grandson Alexander Johnson.

The hymns chosen for today were special to Helen. The words of the hymn "Precious Thought" sat on her dresser for many years as her compass for each day. The hymn "I'm Satisfied In Jesus Now", she chose at one of her last fellowship meetings which she could sing from her heart because she was satisfied in Jesus. She requested the last hymn "Heart and Purpose" as her life was nearing the end. Her most important journey in life was her walk with God and she made that choice at eleven years of age with the purpose, as the words of the hymn expresses "Jesus, Saviour, walk beside me Till the homeland greets my view".
