John was born to Polish immigrants in Northeast Mpls and married the love of his life, Kitty, in 1958. A gifted accordion player, he was a popular performer at country clubs, ballrooms and radio shows with his band, The Johnny Marshall Orchestra. He used his musical gift and love of learning to inspire students through his music schools and private lessons. With Kitty by his side, he had 24 wonderful years of retirement, traveling the U.S. in his RV, playing bridge, and entertaining his grandchildren. His story telling and jokes, musical talent, warm smile, and love for his family left an everlasting impression in our hearts.
