She is preceded in passing by her grandparents.
Kathy is survived by her beloved daughter, Natasha (Matt) Osterkamp; parents, Daniel and Verlie Blank; siblings, Julie (Mike) Neumann, Thomas (Patti) Blank, and Jim (Nancy) Blank; and many other family members and friends.
Kathy loved the outdoors and would go camping anytime she could. She also loved to travel, with vacations taken to California, Florida, and Maine, among others. Even when she couldn’t go somewhere, she would often have the windows open to let nature inside, especially on cool, rainy days.
She cared deeply for her family, and friends, made over the years through her work at Walgreens or through mutual friends. She was always there, no matter what was needed.
She adored her furry family too. Her two cats, Jada and Sadie, passed away in the last few years, but she loved her daughter’s cat Luna. She would often surprise her with toys or treats, which was very much enjoyed.
She was a wonderful and loving mother. She provided sound advice, gentle honesty, and a safe haven from all the wrongs of the world. It was the greatest privilege to know Kathy as a mother, daughter, sibling, and friend. She was taken too soon, and she will be greatly missed.
Join us to Celebrate Kathy's Life on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Gearhart Funeral Home, 11275 Foley Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN. Visitation from 12 pm to 2 pm, with memorial service and memory sharing at 2 pm.
