Marlene graduated from Robbinsdale High School in 1955, and worked as a dental assistant before marrying her sweetheart, Don, in 1957. They were married for 64 years.
Having French Canadian roots, she became famous for her Tourtières (French Meat Pies). Marlene loved trips to the North Shore with Don and her family, especially to Barthell's and Fenstad's cabins. She also enjoyed watching The Price is Right, Let’s Make a Deal, and Wheel of Fortune, and she LOVED ice cream! Marlene will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Donald Pikala; parents, Walter and Mary Woodfill; daughter, Pamela; and brothers, Tom and Gary. Marlene is survived by her loving sons, Chuck (Janelle), Dan (Cindy), and Steve (Laurie); 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Larry; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Special thanks to the wonderful caregivers at Harbor Crossing and Hospice of the Midwest who made Marlene’s last days comfortable and her transition peaceful.
