

Nancy died peacefully at home surrounded by family. Nancy was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota in her paternal Grandparents house to parents Henry (Bud) Nelson and Veronica (Althaus) Nelson. Nancy grew up and attended Cathedral High School in St. Cloud. She worked at Osco Drug at the beauty counter before she met her husband Ronald Loecken at a dance at the New Munich ballroom on St. Patrick’s Day. They went on to have 3 girls Lisa, Pamela and Barbara. Eventually she started working for as a member of the Nutrition Service Staff at Blaine Senior High School where she was fondly known as the Malt Lady or Mom by the many students who loved her. The family got involved with horses and would spend summer weekends going to horse shows and enjoying the many animals that they all had. The family would go out for Pizza at Pizza Flame every Saturday night where everyone was invited to join them no questions asked. She was a mother figure to many and was always willing to help anyone out.
Nancy was preceded in death by her son Baby Loecken, parents Henry (Bud) Nelson and Veronica (Atlhaus) Nelson, Brothers David Nelson and John Nelson and Sister Janice (Nelson) Trantenella.
Nancy is survived by her husband Ronald Loecken, her three daughters Lisa Loecken, Pam Thomas (Chris Koele) and Barb Loecken, three grandchildren Travis (Kayla) Thomas, Manley Merchlewicz and Bethany Merchlewicz, four great grandchildren Emilee Pratt, Elaina Pratt, Adalynn Thomas and Charlie Thomas and Sister Sharon (Gerald) Brtek.
