John and Noreen met at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois in 1970. John was enlisted in the Air Force, and Noreen was a Civilian Secretary on the base. They were married in 1971 and raised four daughters in Minnesota. Noreen was an avid quilter and crocheter - she won several ribbons at the MN State Fair. She loved Bingo and visiting Hinckley. She was a past member of the Forest Lake Memorial Quilters. She loved gardening flowers - especially her roses and lilies. John and Noreen enjoyed camping, and in their retirement years they traveled to Arizona, Florida, California, Las Vegas, and to see family. She will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever loved.
She was preceded in passing by her parents, Lavern and Veronica "Kitty" Johnson; sister, Delores Benhoff (and her husband, William); daughter, Michelle Tayon; son, Timothy Tayon; mother and father-in-law, Adeline and John Doherty.
