Robert Richard "Rob" LaHoud, age 41, of Minneapolis, died unexpectedly on November 14, 2012 at his home. He grew up in Coon Rapids, graduating from high school there in 1989. Rob went on to study at the Medical Institute of MN and earned his certificate to be a veterinary technician. Rob was an avid reader; he especially enjoyed the facts and stories in the "Guinness Book of World Records." He loved animals and watching movies - especially Sci Fi, and he looked forward to annually attending the state fair. Rob will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Rob is survived by his parents, Peter & Carol Poepke of Crosby; sister, Susan (Paul) Larson of Andover; brother, Jon (Rhonda) Poepke of Coon Rapids; nephews, Ryan & Justin Larson and Seth & Cole Poepke; as well as his many friends from Lowry Towers. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Poepke.
A funeral service will be held to celebrate Rob's life on Wednesday, November 21 at 1:30 PM at the Gearhart Funeral Home, 11275 Foley Blvd NW, Coon Rapids. Visitation for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Morningside Memorial Gardens in Coon Rapids.
