Robert was born in Waukegan, IL on October 8, 1923. He married Betty on June 18, 1948 and they lived in Zion and Winthrop Harbor, IL until they retired in 1987. In June of 1988 they moved to Circle Pines, MN to be closer to family.
Bob served in the US Navy during WWII as an aircraft mechanic. He was a metal pattern maker in the foundry industry for over 35 years. He had a strong faith in God and was always very supportive of Betty's Child Evangelism outreach. Bob was also involved with the AWANA youth ministry for many years. He was a loving father and grandfather and was very protective of his family. He will be deeply missed.
Robert is preceded in passing by his beloved wife of 73 years, Betty Ross; brother, Lawrence Ross; and sister, Dorothy Riley.
He is survived by his daughter, Karen (Mark) Childs of Ham Lake, MN; twin sons, Mike (Pam) Ross of Zion, IL, and Marty Ross of Beach Park, IL; grandchildren, Erinne (Kyle) Lehman of Franksville, WI, Lisa (Mike) Von Wald of Ham Lake, MN, Ryan (Meghan) Childs of Blaine, MN; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Dylan, Bode, and Reggie; and extended family and friends.
