was born on December 17, 1993 in Buffalo, MN to Daniel Knott and Patricia Hooks. She passed away peacefully on March 21, 2023 at J.A. Wedum Residential Hospice in Brooklyn Park, MN.
She was a graduate of Maple Lake High School and was actively involved in volleyball, softball, and other activities. She was employed by Minneapolis Southwest High School and served as an assistant varsity volleyball coach at St. Louis Park High School. She enjoyed coaching and playing volleyball, hanging out with friends, watching horror movies and reality TV, arts and crafts, ice fishing, and attending Minnesota sports events, such as Vikings, Wild, and Twins games. She also had a special love for golden retrievers, especially Charlie.
Sami is survived by her father, Daniel Knott; mother, Patricia Hooks (Andrew); brother, Matt Knott (Holly); sister, Carissa Treder (Jordan), and three nieces.
She is preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Ray Winter; paternal grandparents, Arthur and Harriet Knott, and other loved ones.
Services will be held at Gearhart Funeral Home in Coon Rapids, MN on Saturday, April 1, 2023. Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. A service will be held at 1:00 pm. After the service, there will be time to share short stories and memories with those in attendance.
