Steven L. Witzig

Age 59, of Brooklyn Park, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 27, 2014. A business owner & entrepreneur; he had great compassion, esp for the plight of exploited women & children. US Army Veteran. Enjoyed time with friends & family, and caring for those in need. Preceded in death by wife, Morna (1995); parents; granddaughter, April; & “daughter in law” Teresa. Survived by his wife of 15 years, Joan; 4 sons: Dan (Angie Croteau), Josh (Tina), Mark, & Mike (Amanda); 9 grandchildren: Matthew (Holly), Sarah, Katie, Emily, Elissia, Stacey, Sam, Ellen, & Mason; a soon-to-be great-grandson; brothers, Tim (Linda) & Daniel; Joan’s 4 children: Chrissy, Michelle, Bob & Tom and their families; nephew & nieces: Kevin, Carrie & Krista; extended family & friends. His legacy of caring for the least of his brethren will be carried forth by his family, friends and associates. Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Friday, August 1 at Emmanuel Christian Center, 7777 University Ave NE, Spring Lake Park. Interment at Ft. Snelling. Visitation 1 hour prior at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to family preferred.
