Donna was born on 17 May 1953 in Queens, New York. She grew up on Long Island, having lived mostly in Copiague, NY and attending Copiague schools. Donna retired from Macy’s Department Store after 25 years as an Administrative Assistant to buyers both in New York City, NY and San Francisco, CA. Donna enjoyed a good horror movie or novel, using a cross-stitch needle and thread or her crochet hooks and yarn. Those that knew Donna were aware of her big heart, her awesome sense of humor, and her quick wit.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Donald G. Cooke Sr. and Norma R (Anderson) Cooke; as well as her brother, Donald G. Cooke Jr.
Donna is survived by her brother Edward (Cindi) in Virginia, her sister Holly (Michael) in Florida and sister-in-law Judie in Florida . Though never married, Donna was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews, Donald III, David, Nicole, Patrick, Steven, Jessica and Daniella; as well as a dozen great nieces and nephews. They were hers. She was always ready with hugs for them and proud of each one.
