Born in a little town in Germany named Ostrhauderfehn; Henry's parents brought their family to the United States when he was a young child. As he grew up, he joined the military and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. In his years of work, he gave 50 years of devoted service as a machinist with Russell Plastics in Lindenhurst.
Henry met and married his devoted wife, the former Helen Kern. As Helen grew up in Copiague, they bought a home here and together they raised their daughter, Karen. He was a quiet man, but he so enjoyed bowling in his spare time.
In addition to his beloved wife, Helen and daughter, Karen; Henry is survived by his brother Herman and sister-in-law, Janet. Predeceasing him is his brother, John, and his late wife, Helena, known to family and Aunt Leni.
Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday morning, October 24th. A Funeral Prayer Service will be offered at 10:00 a.m., and then all will process to Calverton National Cemetery.
