John Campo, of Brooklyn, New York died suddenly on Friday, October 7, 2011. He was 57 years old. Though living and working in the city, John grew up in Copiague, Long Island. By occupation he worked as a driver with the New York City Department of Transportation. John is survived by his father, Salvatore; his brother, Al Campo; his sisters, Stella Cella and Camille Campo; and two nieces, Marianne and Stephanie Cella. John is predeceased by his mother, Marianne. Family and friends gathered at the D'Andrea Bros.Funeral Home, Copiague, NY., on Monday, October 10th. On Tuesday, a Funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption R.C. Church at 9:45 a.m. As a U.S. Navy veteran, Military Honors were conducted following the Mass at church, where his American Flag was presented to his father. Cremation services were private.
