Peter J. Windishman, of Amityville, L.I., died Sunday, November 19th, 2017 at the age of 54 years. He was born in Cologne, Germany on March 5, 1963. Peter grew up in Lindenhurst, New York and attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Elementary School in Lindenhurst, St. John the Baptist High School in West Islip and Farmingdale State College. Peter was the owner of Solar Guardian - a window treatment business - for 30 years. Peter loved motor boats, and living in Amityville Shores for the past 20 years gave him the opportunity to be out on the Great South Bay whenever he had the time. Surviving is his father, Joseph; brother, Daniel and sister-in-law, Bess; and numerous cousins, coast to coast. Peter is predeceased by his mother, Veronica.
