La Sra. Teresa Grajales, de Copiague, NY, falleció el miércoles 6 de abril a la edad de 90 años.

La Sra. Grajales nació en Toro, Colombia de sus difuntos padres, Miguel Ángel Rivera y Ofelia Rosa Borja. Emigró a los Estados Unidos en 1981 con su esposo, Luis Eduardo Grajales y sus cinco hijos.

Teresa era una modista talentosa muy solicitada por muchos en su ciudad natal antes de venir a los Estados Unidos, donde se especializó en la confección de patrones en la industria de la moda de la ciudad de Nueva York. Después de jubilarse, a Teresa le gustaba pasar tiempo con su familia y viajar. Era extremadamente talentosa y creativa y pasaba tiempo tejiendo, bordando, pintando y haciendo cerámica, que a menudo regalaba a sus seres queridos. En su tiempo libre, disfrutaba escuchando su extensa colección de música, cuidando sus plantas, haciendo rompe cabezas o jugando videojuegos en su GameBoy. El mayor amor de Teresa era su familia y realmente sentía cada uno de sus logros como uno propio.

Le sobreviven su querida familia, sus hijos, Luis Eduardo Grajales y su esposa Bárbara; Heidy Liliana Neidleman y su esposo, Robert; Alexandra Martínez y su esposo, Miguel; Soraya Grajales y Corinna Rendon y su esposo, Herman. Sus nietos: Carlos Alberto Quiceno, David Julian Guerrero, Stephen Quiceno, Michelle Teresa Neidleman Kennedy, Diana Maria Guerrero, Daniel Joseph Neidleman, Andres Julian Rendon, Nicole Pauline Neidleman, Daniela Rendon, Sebastian Alejandro Grajales y Jazmin Infante; y sus bisnietos: Krystiana Rose Quiceno, Jayden Stephen Quiceno, Gabriella Maria Guerrero-Carroll, Adaline Louise Kennedy, Isabella Juliana Guerrero-Carroll, Viviene Eleanor Kennedy, Lenox Blaze Quiceno y Branden Jacob Neidleman.

Familiares y amigos se reunirán en la funeraria el viernes 15 de abril de 9:00 a. m. a 12:00 p. m. para la Visitación Conmemorativa. El Servicio de Velatorio Católico se llevará a cabo a las 10:45 a.m. La familia partirá de la funeraria y se reunirá en el cementerio de St. Charles en Farmingdale para los servicios de colocación de urnas junto a la tumba a la 1:00 p. m.

Mrs. Teresa Grajales, of Copiague, NY, passed away on Wednesday, April 6th at the age of 90 years.

Mrs. Grajales was born in Toro, Colombia to her late parents, Miguel Angel Rivera and Ofelia Rosa Borja. She immigrated to the United States in 1981 with her husband, Luis Eduardo Grajales and their five children. Teresa was a talented seamstress sought out by many in her hometown before coming to the United States, where she specialized in pattern-making in New York City’s fashion industry. After she retired, Teresa enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling. She was extremely gifted and creative and spent time crocheting, beading, painting, and making ceramics, which she often gifted to her loved ones. In her downtime, she enjoyed listening to her extensive music collection, caring for her plants, or playing videogames on her GameBoy. Teresa’s greatest love was her family and she truly felt each of their accomplishments as one of her own.

Surviving is her beloved family – her children – Luis Eduardo Grajales and his wife Barbara; Heidy Liliana Neidleman and her husband, Robert; Alexandra Martinez and her husband, Miguel; Soraya Grajales, and Corinna Rendon and her husband, Herman. Also surviving are her grandchildren – Carlos Alberto Quiceno, David Julian Guerrero, Stephen Quiceno, Michelle Teresa Neidleman Kennedy, Diana Maria Guerrero, Daniel Joseph Neidleman, Andres Julian Rendon, Nicole Pauline Neidleman, Daniela Rendon, Sebastian Alejandro Grajales, and Jazmin Infante; and her great-grandchildren – Krystiana Rose Quiceno, Jayden Stephen Quiceno, Gabriella Maria Guerrero-Carroll, Adaline Louise Kennedy, Isabella Juliana Guerrero-Carroll, Viviene Eleanor Kennedy, Lenox Blaze Quiceno, and Branden Jacob Neidleman.

Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Friday, April 15th from 9:00 a.m. – 12 p.m. for Memorial Visitation. The Catholic Wake Service will take place at 10:45a.m. The family will depart the funeral home and gather at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale for graveside inurnment services at 1:00 p.m.
