Walter was a retired police officer with the NYPD. He was a coach for his children's Little League, Amityville Bay Constable, and a member of the Amityville American Legion, Post #1015.
Mr. Liszewski is survived by is beloved wife Linda, his beloved children, Donna Nugent and husband Joe, Michael Liszewski and wife Susannah, and William Liszewski.; his beloved grandchildren, Brittany Nuget, Jonathan Nugent, Luke Liszewski, Lily Liszewski, Brianna Liszewski, Ashley Liszewski, Anneliese Maddaloni, Emma Maddaloni, and Raquel Apuzzo; and his beloved siblings, John Liszewski, Theodore Liszewski, and Theresa Perry.
Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Thursday May 7, 2015, from 2 - 4:30 p.m. and 7 - 9:30 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Martin of Tours Church in Amityville on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. Military Honors will be conducted out side of Church following Mass. Cremation services are private.
