Atty. Angelino Zamora Villanueva, age 73, was welcomed by Our Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 8, 2020 in Lewisville, TX. He passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Known by friends as Lino or Boy Vee, and lovingly called Lolo V by his family, he was born and raised in Meycauayan, Bulacan, Philippines.
Lino earned his law degree in 1971 at the University of the Philippines College of Law, where he also established lifelong friendships with his brothers of Sigma Rho Fraternity (UP LAW). As a young man, he enjoyed playing the drums in a band, leading the student government as President and the Honor Society as Chancellor, and listening to The Beatles.
His devotion to family and sense of adventure led him to pursue a worldwide career as the Global VP – General Counsel & Corporate Affairs for Procter & Gamble, relocating twice to Cincinnati, OH and Caracas, Venezuela. Upon retiring in 2003 his devotion to his country as a proud Filipino led him back to the Philippines to fulfill his dream of giving back to both his local community and countrymen at large. He has left a very valuable legacy to his hometown where he donated a new plaza — Plaza Villanueva and Paseo de Teresita — which will serve as a patio for the soon to be reconstructed Saluysoy Chapel.
Lino believed in living every day to the fullest, never sitting still as the endless social butterfly; he enjoyed traveling the world, playing golf, dancing to live music and toasting life - with a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Label in hand - with his many friends and loved ones.
He was a devoted husband, predeceased by the love of his life and wife of 46 years, Teresita. He was a beloved father, grandfather and brother and will be missed by too many. He is survived by his 6 children: Ann Devera (Rhodian), Catherine Bigler (David), Joyce Bertulfo (Louis), Frank Villanueva (Leah), Steven Villanueva (Carol), and Alwyn Villanueva (Mayra); his 14 grandchildren: Adrian, Angelica, Nicholas, Anthony, Randal, Christopher, Alec, Annabelle, Victoria, Addison, Reagan, Doniven, Carina, and Rex; and his sister: Marylou Villanueva.
