Cheruthara Punnoose was born in Kaviyoor, Thiruvalla India to Chandy & Maria Punnoose on December 7, 1937. He went to school at St. Berchmans College in Chengacherry, Kerala. He married Achamma Punnoose on May 2, 1966. He worked for Boeing Electronics for 35 years until he retired in 2005.
Cheruthara Punnoose is preceded in death by Chandy Punnoose, Abraham Punnoose, Thomas Punnoose, and Mathew Punnoose.
Cheruthara Punnooose is survived by Achamma Punnoose, Sherley (Shini) Vulk, Jose (Shaji) Punnoose and wife Smitha, Sophy Cyriac and husband Robin, brothers Joseph Punnoose and George Punnoose, and grandchildren Alex, Rachel, Matthew, Rebecca, Victoria, Whitney, Jessica and Sean
