

Nancy Kay Volding, age 81, passed away in Grapevine Texas on Wednesday, April 27th, 2022. She is preceded in death by her son Bradley, and survived by her husband Dennis, her children, Jeffrey and Vicki, and her grandchildren, Austin, Sarah, Christen, Elena, Caraline, and Matthew. Nancy is also survived by one brother, Roger Bennett, of Rochester, MN.
Nancy was born in Rochester, Minnesota on November 3, 1940, to Adeline and Lloyd Bennett. After graduating from Rochester High School in 1958, Nancy went on to attend the Methodist-Kahler School of Nursing earning her nursing degree in 1961. She married the love of her life, Dennis Volding, on October 21, 1961, in Rochester, MN. In the spring of 1963, Dennis and Nancy moved to Dallas, Texas and soon thereafter began family. Over the next twenty years, the growing family lived in Dunwoody, GA, Plano, TX, Marietta, GA and Clearwater, FL. The family returned to Texas in 1987 with Dennis and Nancy purchasing a home in Coppell where they have lived since.
Nancy will be remembered for her love of family and friends, generosity, laughter, ice skating backwards, and her distinct and celebrated singing ability.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18 at Rolling Oaks Funeral Home, 400 Freeport Parkway, Coppell, Texas.
