Norman David Sanson

Norman was born September 20, 1947, in Ferriday, Louisiana, and moved to Coppell, Texas in 1992. He graduated college from Northwestern State University (LA) with a Bachelor of Science degree and spent the majority of his working years selling X-Ray products with Eastman Kodak, GE Healthcare, and Carestream.

Norman married the love of his life, Christine Galland Sanson on June 5th, 1971. They had three children - Bryan Sanson, Sarah Ford, and Stephanie Belzung. He also had 5 wonderful grandchildren whom he loved tremendously. Norm spent his retirement years fiercely loyal and 100% engaged with his wife, children, and grandchildren who all adored their “Papa”. He loved to cook us all breakfast whenever the family was together. His breakfast platters of sausage, eggs, and biscuits are going to be missed. They were always served with his warm smile and sly sense of humor!

When he was not interacting with his family you could always find him watching his beloved LSU Tigers, the New Orleans Saints, or almost any football game that was on TV. He also loved to take walks around the neighborhood with his wife and dogs and interacting with any neighbor who would come out and talk to him.

Norman was preceded in death by parents, J.B. Sanson & Agnes Sanson. Norman is survived by his wife Christine Sanson, son Bryan Sanson (Karlie), daughters Sarah Ford & Stephanie Belzung (Derek), and his five grandchildren (Kylee Ford, Kendall Ford, Luke Sanson, Brett Sanson, and Rilee Sanson). He is also survived by his brothers Buster and Bernard Sanson. He was also a proud veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in January 1970.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday, October 30th, 2021 beginning at 1pm at Rolling Oaks Funeral Home in Coppell, TX. The family invites you to leave your comments and stories about him on the Rolling Oaks website so that we can capture and remember them.
