Devoted father to Max, Alex and Emma. Partner to Sonia Ginnell. Loving son to Brendan and Maureen. Brother to Catherine. Stepbrother to Gerry, Paul and Helen McDermott. Much loved uncle to Gemma, Sophie and Calum Stewart, Cassandra, Michael, Tyler, Jessica and Jon Torgerson, Barrett and Ella Pettine, Dylan and Casey McDermott.
Ray grew up in Mullingar, Ireland and moved to Dallas, Texas at the age of 21. He worked in the granite and marble business and obtained his Associate's Degree in Business before becoming a stay-at-home dad and raising his three children. His love and pride for his children will follow them all of their lives.
Dearly loved brother to his extended friends and family both in Ireland and in the United States.
His warmth, contagious personality and incredible compassion will be deeply treasured and missed by his family and many, many friends.
A Celebration of Life was held on Friday, August 12, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church in Coppell, Texas. Interment followed in the Rolling Oaks Memorial Center in Coppell.
