Robert Francis Kelleher, age 77, of Coppell, died Saturday, September 5, 2015, at River Oaks Assisted Living Center. He was born August 29, 1938, in Jersey City, New Jersey, the son of John Francis Kelleher, Jr. and Edna MCGiverin Kelleher. Bob spent his career in chemical sales and enjoyed his dream retirement job as a marshall at the City of Grapevine golf course for 16 years. He grew up in Lincoln Park, NJ, and Ridgewood, NJ, and graduated from St. Luke’s High School, Ho---Ho---Kus, NJ. He was a proud graduate of Seton Hall University and an ardent supporter of Texas A&M University where his four children and oldest grandson graduated. Our dad loved a good joke, playing golf, spending time with his family, going to Lone Star Park with his son---in---law, and reading historical books. He was a die hard Chicago Cubs fan and always rooted for the Dallas Cowboys. His grandchildren appreciate the many school events and athletic games he attended. He introduced his children to Taylor ham, bratwurst from Milwaukee, tuna fish on Fridays, and made a special ham salad. His sense of fashion was unique with a lean towards all things plaid. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Kienzler Kelleher, his sister Kathleen Kelleher Steward of Alexandria, VA, his children Jeanne (Phil) Reinkemeyer of Parker, TX, Nancy (Mike) Ripley of Coppell, TX, Robert Peter (Kaye) Kelleher of Houston, TX, David (Dohee) Kelleher of South Korea; and grandchildren Chase Ripley, Chad Ripley, Alex Reinkemeyer, Robert Peter Kelleher Jr., Macy Kelleher and Ryan Jason Kelleher. He was preceded in death by his brother John Thomas Kelleher. He will be greatly missed by his niece Faith Kelleher, nephew Brendan Kelleher and many cousins who could always count on him for love and laughs. Visitation at Rolling Oaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 9th from 6 to 8 pm. A memorial mass will be held Thursday, September 10, 2015, at 2:00 PM at St. Ann Catholic Church, 180 Samuel Blvd, Coppell, with the Reverend Kevin Wilvert officiating. Memorials may be made in Bob’ name to Catholic Charities of Dallas, 9461 LBJ Freeway, Suite 128, Dallas, TX 75243 or the Coppell Humane Society, PO Box 1561, Coppell, TX 75019.
