He retired from the United States Army with 20 years of honorable service. Following his military career, he was employed by the US Postal Service and retired in 2005.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mildred, brother Vernon, and sister Laverne.
Mr. Haire is survived by Doris, his wife of 47 years, four sons, Norman, Richard, Thomas and his wife Amy, and Michael and wife Christina, three grandchildren, Donovan, Haden, and Alex (all of Copperas Cove) and a sister, Phyllis Long of Knoxville.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, April 9, 2012, 7:00PM at Grace United Methodist Church of Copperas Cove.
