Earlene McInerney

Earlene McInerney, age 81, of Copperas Cove, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born on August 28, 1943 in Waynesboro, Tennessee to parents Earl and Rosielee York.

Earlene had a love for people and made friends everywhere she went. In her younger years she worked as a waitress at the Busy Bee Restaurant in Chicago, Illinois for 18 years. When she moved to Copperas Cove in 2015, Earlene worked at the Senior Center. In her spare time, Earlene enjoyed traveling, going on cruises and seeing the world. She also had a love for sports including boxing and football. She was a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan.

Earlene was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, and one brother as well as her lifelong friend Don Chernich.

She is survived by her daughter Michelle Linard and husband Gary; her son Jerry Pyle and wife Paula; three grandchildren Christopher Pyle and partner Darcie Keith, Jessica Pyle, Lindsey Targus and husband Jon; three great grandchildren Gary McClelland, Gage McClelland, and Kayleigh McClelland; good friend Jim Bell; and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Earlene was bigger than the whole sky - more than just a moment, more than words can say. Her love, her strength, and her quiet joy will echo in us always.
