Elfriede Anna Rivera

Mrs. Elfriede Anna Klein Rivera, age 87, of Kempner, Texas, passed away Monday, November 3rd at her residence peacefully. She was born July 14, 1938, in Landau, Germany, a daughter of the late Josef Klein and Johanna Maria Klein.

Elfriede was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Joseph P. Rivera, Erich Paul Walter, Gerda Joanna Klein Walter, Hannelore Bozze, and her beloved dog, Jack.

She was a homemaker and a magnificent German cook. She loved watching Judge Judy.

Elfriede is survived by two daughters: Patricia R. Hammontree and husband Clint Hammontree, Christina M. Taylor and husband Johnny Taylor.

Elfriede is survived by two sons: Joe M. Rivera and wife Lisa Rivera, James P. Rivera.

Grandchildren: John Taylor and Jennifer Taylor, Joseph Taylor and Lisa Taylor, Michael Taylor and Stefani Taylor, Michael Bradford, and Jeremy Rivera.

Great Grandchildren: Harlow Taylor, Adelyn Taylor, Klein Taylor, Jet Taylor, and William Taylor.

Elfriede is survived by one sister, Elisabeth Duran of Oregon, and one brother, Wolfgang Klein of Germany. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
