

Eva Louise (Mahana) Kattner, 79, of Copperas Cove, passed away Monday, May 20, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Friday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove. Burial will follow at Copperas Cove Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Louise was born August 19, 1933 in Lampasas, the daughter of George "Jack" Finley Mahana and Velma S. Smith. She attended school at Nix, Lampasas County. On July 23, 1950, she was united in marriage to George Robert Kattner at the First United Methodist Church in Copperas Cove. Louise was a housewife and mother of five daughters. She worked outside home at the Venus Cafe, Winn's, Copperas Cove I.S.D. Cafeteria and later Walmart. She cared for her parents and Grandmother in their later years. She enjoyed visiting relatives and long time friends at the Hill Country Nursing Home and she always had a kind word and smile to greet them.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jack Franklin Mahana of Silver Lake, Kansas.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, her sister Wynell Achord and husband Alton of Killeen, daughters, Sandra Porterfield and husband Kenneth of Waco, Dorothy "Jo" Legere and husband Ronald of Sanford, Maine, Vickie Kidwell and husband Patrick of Killeen, Cherry Nolin of Waco and Cheryl "Lee" Mesnard and husband Les of Moody.
Grandchildren: April Avila, Charlotte Parker, Vance Parker, Ryan Legere, Jacob Davis, Aaron Davis, Lydia Davis, Christopher Mesnard, Johnathan Mesnard and Michael "Zach" Nolin.
Great-Grandchildren: Tommy, Austin, Dominiq, Angel, Carolyn, Isabelle, Johnnye, Jaden and Raiden.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the hospice of your choice.
