

He was the son of a soldier and followed his father's footsteps into the Army. John was a veteran of the Kuwait Liberation, Desert Shield and Desert Storm. His service took him all of the world. During his 10 years of service, John achieved the rank of Sergeant during his 10 years of service and received the Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, and the Kuwait Liberation Medal.
After his discharge from the military, John began working as a Diesel Mechanic. John was free spirited. He truly loved traveling Europe on his Harley and snowboarding in Innsbruck.
John is preceded in death by his father, Jack Lee Cooke and his mother, Cha Son Cooke as well as a brother, Tom Cooke.
John is survived by his brothers; Gene Cooke, Ray Cooke, and Kim Cooke.
John will be missed by his family and friends.
A Memorial Service with military honors for John will be held Monday, November 21, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 State Highway 195, Killeen, Texas 76542.
