Services for Melany Carmen Young, 78, of Copperas Cove will be 2:00pm Saturday January 25, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Copperas Cove. She was born July 13, 1935 in El Salvador and passed away January 18, 2014 in Copperas Cove.
She was raised and educated in El Salvador. Melany worked as a school teacher in El Salvador and came to the U S in 1963 where she married Fidel Young.
Survivors include husband; Fidel Young of Copperas Cove, sons; Jose Castro of Copperas Cove, John Rivera of Newport News VA, LT Col Edwin Young and wife Ann of Omaha NE, and Rocky Young and wife Jeanie, daughter; Melany Shea of Dallas, TX, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family will receive visitors Friday January 24, 2014 from 6-8pm at the funeral home. There will be a rosary at 7pm.
