Nancy Lee Talbett

Born on May 23, 1964 in Cincinnati, Ohio. God called her home on May 24, 2016.

Survivors included Paul Talbett, Kempner, TX, husband of 24 years; father, Edward Leedy, Naperville, IL ; sisters Sharon Rachan (Ken), Homer Glen, IL and Dianne Calhoun (Scott), Naperville, IL ; nephews John Rachan (Alisa), North Aurora, IL and Steve Rachan, Homer Glen, IL.

Proceeded in death by her mother Sandra A. Leedy.

Raised in Naperville, IL, she attended North Central College in Naperville, IL where she received her teaching degree. Nancy spent her entire career reaching in the Texas towns of Laredo, Lampasas, Killeen and Copperas Cove. She met and married Paul Talbett in 1992 in Killeen, TX.

Nancy spent most of her career teaching Special Education. She received The Texas State Teachers Award I 2007.

She was very involved in rescuing Pekinese and Poodles.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Copperas Cove, TX.

Service will be held at Grace United Methodist Church In Copperas Cove, TX on July 8 at 10AM. Burial will be on Sunday, July 17 in Naperville, IL

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association or Grace United Methodist Church or the Red River SPCA in Gainesville, TX.
