

Services for Phil M. Williams, 71, of Harker Heights will be Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Copperas Cove with full military honors to follow at the Copperas Cove City Cemetery. Mr. Williams passed away August 24, 2012 in Harker Heights.
Phil was born May 31, 1941 in Meridian, MS.
Mr. Williams retired with the US Army after twenty years of service. He was blessed to work with several people in his lifetime to include the City of Copperas Cove as the first City Marshall for ten years, Constable, Lack’s Furniture, and as a bus driver for KISD. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Copperas Cove and a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Father James A. Donnelly Council #6658 in Copperas Cove. Phil was also past VFW Commander for VFW #3892 in Harker Heights.
Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his wife, Francis Yarrell-Williams. He leaves behind a son Philip Williams of Temple and two daughters; Kristina Williams- Myers of Kempner and Gloria Russell of California. He will also be missed by his two sisters; Carolyn Hunter and Shirley Clark of Meridian, MS and eight grandchildren.
A visitation will be on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove from 6-8 p.m.
