

Bob was born on Friday, November 8, 1935 in Johnson County, Illinois. He was the son of Hugh Isaac Mighell and Gladys Martha (Billingsley) Mighell. Bob married the love of his life, Lois Ann (Kendrick) Mighell on Saturday, January 21, 1961 in Fort Worth, Texas where they were both attending Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. To their Union were added five children Brett, Bartt, Bobi, Burton and Beth. The couple were married 63 years before Lois Ann went home to Glory on February 17, 2024.
Bob is survived by four of his children; Brett Kendrick Mighell (Lu) of Copperas Cove, Texas, Bartt Kendrick Mighell (Cammie) of Levita, Texas, Bobi Kendrick Mighell-Cavins of Goreville, Illinois and Beth Kendrick Mighell-Gallups of Copperas Cove, Texas. Fifteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, His parents, his siblings; Lodema Marie Mighell-Luporini, Mary Katherine Mighell Asbury, and Samuel Joe Mighell, his youngest son Burton Kendrick Mighell and his son-in-law Steven John Gallups.
A devout servant of Christ, Bob faithfully answered God's call to ministry as a young teenager. He served as a Southern Baptist Pastor for many years. Through his preaching, teaching and quiet acts of service, he shared the Gospel with kindness, humility and unwavering conviction.
He was known for his compassionate heart, gentle spirit and genuine care for every soul he encountered.
Bob believed deeply in living out his faith, not only from the pulpit but through daily acts of love, encouragement and generosity, He had a special gift for making people feel seen, heard, and valued, offering wisdom seasoned with grace and a listening ear to all who sought him.
In addition to his mistry, Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grand father and friend, cherishing time with his family and finding joy in the simple blessings of life. His legacy of faith, integrity and kindness will continue to live on in the countless lives he touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Clear Creek Baptist Church in Copperas Cove, Texas on Saturday, April 25th at 4 PM.
Bob will be deeply missed by his family, who cherish the love, guidance and unwavering faith he shared so freely throughout his life. While their hearts grieve his absence they find comfort and hope in God's promise and look forward to the joyful day when they will see him again in Heaven. "Well done,good and faithful servant."
