Robert Haskell "Rob" Wilson

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove, Texas. Inurnment services will be observed by family at Rocky Arroyo Cemetery, near Carlsbad, New Mexico at a later date.

Robert was born on May 14, 1982 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Robert P. and Lisia M. Wilson. Robert was raised in Oklahoma before moving with the family to Paris, Texas, then to the central Texas towns of Gatesville and Copperas Cove. He attended Gateway Baptist Church during his time in the Gatesville area, and later made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ and became a member of First Baptist Church of Copperas Cove. He will be remembered by all as a gentle giant with a great sense of humor and a smile that would brighten any room, and by family as a loving son, father, brother, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Marcus and Edith Smith, grandmother, Margaret Wilson, and two infant nephews.

Survivors include his parents, wife, Melissa McFall-Wilson, two sons, Nathaniel and Jeramiah, Madrissa, Kristin, and Danielle Rulison, whom he considered as his own step-daughters, all of Copperas Cove; a sister, Anita Paul, her husband, Shawn Paul, and their son, Zachary, of Jonesboro; grandparents, Patsy Workman, of Oklahoma, and Haskell Smith, of Carlsbad, New Mexico; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
