

Born on September 2, 1944, Shirley was a strong, hardworking woman who dedicated her life to her family. She took great pride in making sure her loved ones were always cared for and supported. Shirley retired from Sam’s Club in Temple, Texas, where her dedication and work ethic left a lasting impression on coworkers and customers alike.
Shirley leaves behind a family who adored her and will carry her memory with love. She is survived by her son, Harry Smith of Copperas Cove, TX; her daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Eric Yeater of Steubenville Ohio, Sherry and Mark Howard of Cameron, WV, and Tammy and Richard Lytle of Belton, TX.
She was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren: Hiedi Kidd of Cameron, WV; Billy Rutherford, Ashlee Rutherford, and Krystal Van Horn of Steubenville Ohio; and D’Onna and Dakotah Lytle of Belton, TX. Her legacy continues through her five great-grandchildren: Colton, Landon, Coen, Alenah, and A’mya.
Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved sister Beatrice, her grandmother Beatrice, her mother Cora, and many other dear family members who went before her.
Her unwavering devotion to her family, her strength, and her selflessness will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A Celebration of Shirley’s life will be held on May 4 at 2:00 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove, Texas. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend.
