Steven E. Henderson

Steven served in the U.S Army as an Airplane Mechanic. During his 20 years of service, Steven served in the Vietnam War where he earned the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. In 1987, he retired at the rank of Sergeant First Class at Fort Hood, Texas. After retiring from the Army, Steven and his wife, Bonnie, settled down in Copperas Cove where he served as Quartermaster at the VFW Post 8577 for 25 years.

Steven was preceded in death by his son, John Henderson; parents Ruth Henderson and Keith John Henderson; and granddaughter, Regina Henderson.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Bonnie Henderson; a son, James (Tanya) Henderson; daughters Lorraine (Robert) Dunn and Christina (Jim) Jacobs; grandchildren Brittney Young, Chasity Henderson (Alonzo Jones III), Miranda Henderson, Addie Jacobs, Zach Henderson ( Shamel Grant), Shannon Henderson, Lillian Jacobs, Kaiden Henderson, Becca Jacobs, Alexis Henderson, and 11 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Cathy Lanier and niece Misty Lanier-Helmick (Bob) of Florida.
