Ted served in the United States Army for 25 years. During this time, he conducted tours in Vietnam, Germany, Korea, and Kuwait. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his supporting role during a combat mission in 1991. Many other honors followed him throughout his career.
Ted and his loving wife Sherry were in a devoted marriage for 58 happy years; They had two children, their son Brian, who preceded Ted in death in 2015; and a daughter, Chrystal.
Ted and Sherry were blessed with four beautiful grandchildren, David, Jessica, Makayla, and Jacob. In 2024 they were graced with two wonderful great grandchildren, little cuties Ryker and Pandora.
Some of Ted's favorite pastimes besides playing with his grandbabies and great grandbabies, were playing the guitar, working in his yard, and rebuilding and restoring old cars and trucks. Some of us who knew Ted well got to enjoy his lighthearted pranks and sense of humor.
Ted will be in our hearts always.
A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at the Central Texas State Veteran Cemetery on Monday, January 27 at 10:00 AM.
