

Theresa Connor-Smith, 59, of Copperas Cove, TX passed away on Friday, February 22, 2013. Teri was born in Paterson, NJ on May 11, 1953 to her late parents, Edward and Louise J. Connor. She lived most of her childhood under the military with her parents and her two sisters. Through out her years Teri has accomplished may things and found many interests. After receiving an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Teri pursued her career in the corporate world. She was highly successful working for large companies in New York City as well as Texas while proudly raising her 2 daughters, Shawn and Robyn. On April 7, 1990 Teri married her beloved husband, Keith Smith. After many years of working, Teri became a devoted housewife while Keith served in the military, and before relocating several times, finally resided in Copperas Cove, TX.
Teri has always been very fond of nature and enjoying what the Earth has to offer. She loved hiking and geocaching with her beloved dogs. She also enjoyed working in the yard; so much so that with the military Teri received Yard of the Month at least 8 times within a span of two years. Throughout her life Teri was quite the photographer, taking photos of all that she could and even selling them to Internet websites and magazines. She also became an editor for one online magazine, which she took great pride in. Teri had many hobbies; collecting and watching movies, various crafts, all things techy such as televisions, DVRs and especially computers; She wanted the newest and best ones out there and she always had them. Most importantly Teri was always happiest when she was helping people. With a unique and colorful personality, her generous and caring nature was what enriched the lives of those who were close to her.
Teri is survived by her loving husband, Staff Sergeant Keith J. Smith of Copperas Cove, TX, 2 daughters, Robyn Riggins and husband Jason Riggins of Houston, TX, Shawn Penso and Edward Kraus of Austin, TX,; one grandchild, Briley Riggins, two sisters; Roselee Studt of Bloomfield, NJ, Janet Littlefield and husband Robert Littlefield of Keeseville, NY, as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Teri is predeceased by her beloved parents, Edward Connor Jr., and Louise J. Connor of Keeseville, NY.
Teri was first and foremost a loving military wife, a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin. She will always be loved and remembered for her thoughtful and caring ways. She will be missed greatly.
