Tom was born March 7, 1934 in Meridian; MS. and passed away January 6, 2015 in Copperas Cove. He married Lee M. Schladt on July 22, 1966, who preceded him in death on May 26, 1997.
Tom was retired after 22 years of service in the U S Army where he served 2 tours in Vietnam. He was an avid baseball fan and followed various teams.
Tom is survived by his loving step-children Lee M Throop (John), Christina M Beaver (Kelly), Philip H Schladt (Candy), Jeanne A Hodges (James), nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, brother, Ken Jones (Jackie) of Alexandra, LA and cousin, Tom Berryhill of Jackson, LA.

Visitation will be from 6-8pm Monday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove, interment will occur 11:00am Thursday at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
