

Mrs. Whyte died on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at the Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. She was born on Saturday, October 17, 1931 in Memphis, TN to the late O.O. and Mary Williams Robbins. She was a graduate of Corinth High School class of 1949 and taught 5th and 6th grades at South Corinth Elementary for 20 years after receiving her degree from Mississippi State College for Women in 1953. During her life, she served as a Sunday School teacher and a leader for the youth and children activites at First Baptist, where she was a long time member. She was also a lifetime member of the Junior Auxiliary in Corinth, where she served as president and was on several state committees, a member of the Corinth Music Club and the Corinth Garden Club. She and her husband, Tony, live in the old Robbins Nest home where they previously opperated a bed and breakfast.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband and father of her children, Chad L. Archie, Jr. and a sister, Mary Lynn Robbins DeBeau.
Survivors include her husband Anthony J. "Tony" Whyte; three daughters Robbin Archie Cox and her husband William, Allison Archie Pittard and her husband Carey, and Julie Whyte McCraig and her husband Brian; two sons, Chad L. Archie III and his wife Shelley and John Whyte; 10 grandchildren, William W. Cox and his wife Nikoleta, Chad Robbins Cox, Mary Robbin Pittard, Leslie Miller Archie, Mary Liddon Archie, Chad L. Archie IV, Jennifer, Peter and Patrick McGowan and Orion Shea.
William W. Cox, William W. Cox III, Chad Cox, Carey Pittard, John Whyte, Rick Lyon, Gene Hymel and Paul Hymel will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Foster Dean, Doug Hammond, Dr. James E. Meeks, David Palmer, Gene Box, Dr. Tommy Sweat, Dr. Bill Hora, Dr. Robert Krohn and Dr. Buddy Biggers.
On Thursday, October 21st from 4:00 P.M. till 6:00 P.M., the family are inviting the friends to visit with them at the Robbins Nest at 1523 Shiloh Road. There will also be a reception of friends immediately following the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either First Baptist Church and First Presbyterian Church youth ministries both of Corinth.
