

A Celebration of Life Service for Betty Everett will at 1pm at Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 with Bro. Phillip Caples officiating. Visitation will be held from 11am until 1pm at the funeral home on Tuesday. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Betty passed away on June 14, 2025 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born on November 30, 1940 to the late Carl and Flora Trantham. A graduate of Kossuth High School, she devoted her career to caring for others in Home Health, ultimately retiring from Superior Home Health Company. Her compassion, commitment and nurturing spirit touched the lives of many.
Betty was a member of Tishomingo Chapel Baptist Church. Her faith and community involvement was very important to her. She found great joy in gardening, traveling and spending time with her beloved "sunshiners," a term of endearment for her close friends. Her greatest joy was her family. Betty was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother; her heart was always full when surrounded by her grandchildren and great grandchildren that she adored.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Everett, Sr.; daughter, Charlotte Duncan; brothers, Joe Trantham and Jimmy Trantham; and sisters, Dorothy McDougal and Nelda Gant.
Betty is survived by her son, Charles Everett, Jr.; daughters, Cindy Downs and Connie Hopper; grandchildren, Hannah Bragg, Deanne McCauley, Phillip Duncan, Kayla Hopper, and Everett Hopper; great grandchildren, Maverick Bragg, Gatlin Bragg, Gentry Bragg, Freyja Stanford, and Theodora Tate; brothers, Carl Trantham, Danny Trantham, Rodney Trantham, Randy Trantham, and Jackie Trantham; sister, Peggy Glover; and a host of other family and friends.
