

Funeral services for Billy P. “Bill” Taylor, 91, will be held at Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. John Boler and Bro. Thomas Major officiating. Burial will be in the Corinth National Cemetery.
Mr. Taylor died Wednesday, March 29, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born in Alcorn County to the late William Emmit and Lola May Taylor on June 23, 1925. On January 7, 1944 he married Violet Rhoades Taylor just after entering the United States Marines in December 1943, and served in the Pacific Theater during WWII. After being discharge from the military with the rank of Corporal he founded Taylor Heating and Air Conditioning in 1951. Bill was a member of Holly Baptist Church having served as a deacon for many years. He loved his family dearly and was passionate about his artistic ability in the restoration of antiques cars which he accomplished beautifully.
He was preceded in death by parents, one son, Dennis Taylor and one daughter-in-law, Linda Joyce Taylor; four brothers, Duward Taylor, John Taylor, Larry Taylor and Jimmy Taylor; three sisters, Dorothy McVay, Louise Smith and Mary Ellen Hooper.
Survivors include his wife of 73 years Violet Taylor; sons, Billy Dan (Cathy) Taylor and Joel (Julia) Taylor; daughter-in-law, Linda Taylor; grandchildren, Brad (Joey) Taylor, Clay (Kristen) Taylor, Susan (Will) Delk, Daniel Taylor, Brandon (Crystal) Whitley, Michael McCann, Tammy (Zack) Lipford, Lindsey (David) Nixon, brothers; Roy (Dorothy) Taylor and Bobby Taylor and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Billy Green Rogers and Danny Newton.
Visitation will be held Friday 5:00 to 8:00 at Memorial Funeral Home.
