Graveside Service for Charles Edward Tomlinson, Sr. is set for 11:00 am Thursday at Oak Grove Independent Methodist Church with Bro. Terrell Gatewood officiating.
Charles died October 27, 2024 at his residence after a short illness. He was born September 12, 1941 in Alcorn Co. MS to the late Mancel and Myrtle Tomlinson.He was a retired Maintenance Mechanic-Boiler Operator for Schlitz, Coors Brewing Co. for 32 years. He attended Ebenezer Methodist Church. Charles enjoyed gardening, cooking and going to the auction.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Majell Tomlinson; his parents; and a brother, J.L. Garrett.
He is survived by his son, Eddie Tomlinson; grandchildren, Cody Tomlinson, Mikaela Tomlinson Harris; five great grandchildren; brothers, Butch Tomlinson and James Tomlinson; sisters, Barbara Lamphere and Geraldine Stokes; special friend, Shirley Crabb; and a host of other family and friends.
